The assault case involving Kansas City Chiefs running back Larry Johnson has been put on hold until November. A Kansas City Municipal Court Judge has granted the city prosecutor’s request for a continuance, despite the objections of Johnson’s lawyer. A Kansas woman claiming to be a former girlfriend of Johnson says the football player shoved her, earlier this month, while the two were at a Kansas City bar. The prosecution says it needs the delay because one of its witnesses did not show up. The defense, meanwhile, claims it has five witnesses and is ready to begin proceedings. The parties have been instructed to be back in court on November 29th.
