Blues goaltending coach Keith Allain has been named an assistant on the 2006 U.S. Men’s Olympic Hockey team. This will be his second stint coaching the national team in the Olympics—Allain was an assistant on the 1992 team which finished fourth in Albertville, France.

Allain’s experience in coaching national squads is quite impressive. He has been the head coach of the U.S. junior team in the past and has also been an assistant on the U.S. senior team, and has been a U.S. assistant of their World Cup teams.

Allain, who has been with the Blues since 1998, is a native of Worcester, Mass.
