Southeast Missouri St. has landed, perhaps the most impressive transfer in school history. Former Oklahoma Sooner basketball player Brandon Foust is now a member of the SEMO basketball team. As long has he meets academic requirements, Foust will have two years of eligibility after sitting out the 2005-2006 season.

Foust played in 28 games as a freshman at OU and started the last two games of the season. Over the final six games of his freshman campaign, Foust averaged 10.5 points and 5.2 rebounds per game.

But things turned sour his sophomore year, averaging just 2.8 points and 11.6 minutes per game. He left Oklahoma after just five games.

SEMO assistant Toby Lane is one reason why Foust chose to transfer to Cape Girardeau. Lane was an assistant at OU during Foust’s freshman season.

Foust is the second transfer SEMO has gotten this season. Michael Rembert, a 6-9 center transferred from Bradley and is sitting out.
