Governor Matt Blunt has issued the call for a special session of the General Assembly. It will begin on Tuesday, September 6th, the day after Labor Day. The Governor is asking lawmakers to address abortion-related legislation, to clean-up language in four alcohol-related bills, to correct drafting errors in the new workers’ compensation law, to remove provisions prohibiting the posting of personal information of elected officials on the Internet, and to consider a resolution opposing the Spring rise plan for the Missouri River. The special session coincides with the veto session, which is scheduled to begin September 14th.
