The Springfield Cardinals ended their longest road trip of the season in style. The Cardinals scored a season-high 15 runs in a 15-1 win over the Frisco RoughRiders. Shaun Boyd, Gabe Johnson, Rick Ankiel and Aaron Herr all homered for Springfield, which pounded out 18 hits in the win. Springfield starter Stuart Pomeranz allowed just one run over 7 2/3 innings to earn his first win since July 21. The Cardinals finished the 13-game road trip with a 5-8 record.
