The general revenue report for July has been released – and there is good economic news. One month into the 2006 fiscal year, collections have increased by 2.8 percent, from $418.8-Million last year to $430.5-Million this year. Commissioner of Administration Mike Keathley says the picture is not entirely rosy. He is concerned that sales and use tax collections decreased 8.6 percent for the year-to-date. Overall, though, he likes the report and says it’s an indication Missouri’s economy is headed in the right direction.
