The Springfield Cardinals rallied back, and then imploded in a 7-3 loss in ten innings to the Arkansas Travelers.

After getting in a 3-0 hole, the Cardinals rallied for three runs in the bottom of the seventh. Gabe Johnson scored from third base on a Dan Moylan ground ball. Later in the inning Kevin Estrada drove in Brendan Ryan with a double and Shaun Boyd followed up with a single to score Estrada. That tied the game at 3-3.

It stayed that way until the Travelers exploded for four runs in the top of the 10th. Arkansas scored three of those runs when Kendry Morales hit a bases-loaded double off reliever Jeremy Cook. He was charged with the loss.

Springfield failed to mount any kind of an effort in the bottom of the 10th, by going down in order.
