A police report indicates University of Missouri football player Aaron O’Neal was not immediately taken to the campus hospital after he collapsed after a voluntary workout on July 12th. It says the 19-year-old O’Neal was taken to the football team’s office. He died soon after. The hospital is across the street from where the workout took place. Athletic Department Spokesman Chad Moller says the office is still in the process of reviewing its policies about how voluntary workouts are conducted. He isn’t sure if that will be completed before practices start on August 8th. Moller says the university will have no comment on the timeline until after Boone County Medical Examiner Valerie Rao’s report is complete. That should be in a few weeks after toxicology and other tests are completed.
