Kansas City native Tom Watson won the Senior British Open on Sunday, by finishing four-under par and beating Des Smyth of Ireland in a playoff at Scotland’s Royal Aberdeen. Watson got par on each of the three holes, but Smyth bogeyed on the third.

Watson, who won the British Open on the main tour five times in his career, grabbed his first major title on the Champions Tour since 2003. It was his second Senior British Open Title.
