The biggest draw for the Springfield Lasers is gone for now. The Lasers, which are a member of World Team Tennis, will be without the services of Lindsay Davenport tonight, as they face the St. Louis Aces at Cooper Tennis Complex in Springfield.

Davenport, who is currently the top-ranked women’s player in the world, is pulling out of tonight’s match with a back injury. Earlier this month, Davenport was forced to sit out of Fed Cup action with the same ailment. She hasn’t played since getting knocked out of Wimbledon by Venus Williams on July 2.
