Tony Stewart was the winner at the New England 300 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on Sunday to grab his third victory of the season. Kurt Busch was second, Bobby Labonte was third and Kyle Busch finished fourth.

St. Louis native Rusty Wallace was eighth on the day and remains in fourth place in the points’ standings. Columbia native Carl Edwards finished the day in 12th place, Fenton native Ken Schrader was 26th, St. Louis native Mike Wallace was 38th and Joplin’s Jamie McMurray finished 40th.

McMurray fell three spots to 11th, while Edwards stayed steady at 13th. McMurray and Edwards have seven races left to either be in the top 10 or within 400 points of the leader to qualify for the Cup. McMurray trails leader Jimmie Johnson by 439 and Edwards trails by 439.
