A DNA match has led to the arrest of a man in a St. Louis rape and murder from 1997. Police say Currie Lindsey had never been considered a suspect until a lab matched Lindsey’s DNA with evidence from the killing of a 74-year-old woman eight years ago. His DNA was taken by the Department of Corrections March 1st, just before he was released from custody for a parole violation. Lindsey has a criminal record that includes seven convictions, but none for any violent crimes.
