The Major league draft is today and the Royals have the second overall pick. They’re expected by many to take University of Nebraska third baseman Alex Gordon. The two-time All-American is considered to be the best hitting prospect in the draft. So far this year, Gordon has an average of .382 and has driven in 62 runs with 18 homers and 23 stolen bases. Nebraska is competing in the NCAA tournament. The Cardinals pick 30th.
