The Springfield Cardinals split a double header with the Frisco RoughRiders winning the opener 2-0 and losing the second game 7-6 in 11 innings.

In the second game Juan Diaz hit a solo home run in the top of the 11th to break a 5-5 tie, but in the bottom half of the inning, reliever Evan Rust was put men on first and third with one out. Jeremy Cleveland grounded to first base where Andy Schutzenhofer was able to knock the ball down. It bounced towards second baseman Kevin Estrada, who threw home. The throw bounced past catcher Robinson Cancel, allowing two runs to score.

With the loss, Springfield finished 4-3 on the seven-game road trip and will face the Midland RockHounds Monday night.
