The fourth-seeded Missouri baseball team advanced to the winners’ bracket of the Big 12 Tournament on Wednesday night with an 8-7 wins over fifth-seeded Oklahoma in Oklahoma City.

The game started on a poor note for Mizzou, as the Sooners jumped out to a 3-0 lead off starter Taylor Parker in the top of the first. The Tigers were able to erase that lead and knock Sooner starter Daniel McCutcheon out of the game with a four-run rally in the fourth inning. Tiger sophomore left fielder Hunter Mense drove in the third run of the inning and scored the fourth run. He finished 3-for-4 with four RBI’s.

Mizzou led 7-4 in the ninth inning when Oklahoma tied the game up with a three-run rally. But Mense came through in the clutch in the bottom half of the ninth with an RBI single to win it.

Tonight, Mizzou will face Texas Tech, which knocked off top seeded Nebraska 5-3.
