Next time you get a phone call from someone asking you to donate to the Missouri Police Chiefs Charitable Foundation, be aware that 80 percent of the money never goes to the Foundation. The professional fund raising company gives the Foundation only about 20 cents on the dollars. The Foundation has recently renewed its contract with the fund-raising company, which is based in Texas. Executive Director Sheldon Lineback has told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch it’s the best deal the foundation could get. The contract expires next spring.
