The 20th ranked Missouri baseball team bounced back from their loss to Southern Illinois the night before, to top Illinois 6-2 at T.R. Hughes Ballpark in O’Fallon, Missouri Wednesday. Junior right fielder Jacob Priday led the charge for the Tigers by going 4-for-5 with two RBI’s and a run.

After trailing 2-0, the Tigers got on the board in the second inning with a squeeze bunt from Greg O’Neill to score fellow junior James Boone.

In the third, the Tigers scored two unearned runs to take the lead for good. Sophomore Hunter Mense scored on a balk by Illinois starting pitcher Brandon Murphy and Priday scored on an error.

MU improved to 35-18 and will close out the regular season at Baylor this weekend.

On Monday the Fort Zumwalt School district in O’Fallon Missouri agreed to begin testing it’s student athletes for steroids. They’re believed to be the first school in the state and possibly the nation to do so. Paul Boschert, Athletic Director of Fort Zumwalt West didn’t realize that
