Royals GM Allard Baird should have a good idea of who has the most interest in the managerial position by the end of the week according to the Kansas City Star. Baird said that intereim manager Bob Schaefer is a candidate along with former Royals second baseman Frank White, who’s managing their Double-A team in Wichita. So are Art Howe, Gene Lamont, Jimy Williams, Jim Fregosi, Grady Little and Larry Bowa.
