The Senate has approved the bill containing new restrictions on adult-entertainment centers. But it has dropped the sponsor’s original plan to heavily tax them. Senator Matt Bartle of Lee’s Summit had to cut a deal with Columbia Senator Chuck Graham to keep his bill alive. Graham thinks Bartle was over-reaching. But he says the whole thing might be academic anyway. The bill passed the senate at midnight last night. It has until 6 o’clock this evening to make it through the House.
