The Royals lost another late inning lead in a 2-1 defeat at the hands of the White Sox. Royals starter Zack allowed two hits and a walk through 7 1/3. He was also charged with both White Sox runs, but he was only partially responsible for their meltdown in the eighth inning.

Greinke left the game with a 1-0 lead, one out and two runners on base. Reliever Andrew Sisco entered and got White Sox with a 1-0 lead. Andrew Sisco got Chicago first baseman Jamie Burke to ground out for out number two. Then, the unthinkable happened.. Sisco walked Joe Crede to lead the bases. He then walked Juan Uribe to tie the game. Up next was Scott Posednik, and the first pitch to him was a ball. Sisco was pulled from the game and replaced with fellow rookie Ambriorix Burgos who threw three straight balls to walk in the tie-breaking run.

Greinke was charged with the loss and dropped to 0-3 on the season. The Royals were swept by the White Sox, but were outscored by four runs in the series.
