The Springfield Cardinals snapped a four-game losing streak by topping the Tulsa Drillers 5-2 on Monday. The two teams had to wait an extra hour because of rain, but the delay didn’t seem to affect Cardinals’ starter Oscar Alvarez who lasted six innings to get the win. He allowed just one run

Pinch hitter, Shaun Boyd drove in three runs for a double to give the Cardinals a 5-1 lead. They never looked back.

They wrap up their series with Tulsa on Tuesday afternoon, with a 12:05 start.
