Three former Missouri Tigers had their names called at the 2005 NFL Draft. Defensive tackle Atiyyah Ellison was the first one to get drafted ,when Carolina Panthers traded up to grab him in the third round. Ellison had 60 tackles and two sacks and was an All-Big 12 first team selection.

Damien Nash, who skipped his senior season at Mizzou to declare for the draft, was selected by Titans in the fifth round. He led the Tigers in rushing yards (792) and rushing touchdowns (7), despite missing a game due to suspension. Many believe that he was forced to miss a game after he publicly challenged the coaches offensive decisions in their loss to Kansas State.

Defensive tackle C.J. Mosely also decided to forgo his senior season and was taken in the sixth round by the Vikings. Mosely, like Ellison, was a first-team All-Big 12 selection with 60 tackles and six sacks in 20004.

SEMO guard Dan Connolly has signed a free agent deal with the Jaguars and will participate in the team’s rookie mini-camp this weekend.
