Friday is Earth Day – a day set aside to reflect on how to make the environment safer and cleaner. The Missouri Department of Natural Resources’ Earth Day Chairman, Larry Archer, says progress has been made in the 35 years this country has recognized the day. Archer says the theme this year in Missouri is “quality of water equals quality of life.” Several Earth Day activities will be taking place in the Carnahan Memorial Garden between the State Capitol building and the Governor’s Mansion in Jefferson City.
