The Kansas City Royals won an American League worst 33 home games last season. The Royals have not been any better at Kauffman Stadium in 2005. K.C. fell to 1-5 at home after Sunday’s 6-1 loss to Detroit. Ivan Rodriguez pounded out three hits for the Tigers, including a home run, and drove in three runs. Mike Maroth surrendered just one run in seven-and-two-thirds innings. Kansas City’s only run came on a solo homer by Eli Marrero in the seventh. The Royals open a two-game series at home against Cleveland on Monday night.
