It took seven years and $9-Million to produce, but a group is pressing for it to be scrapped. The environmental group, the Missouri Coalition for the Environment, calls the Army Corps of Engineers’ flood study “seriously flawed”. It calls for the Corps to withdraw it and re-draft it. It is an important document. It will determine the flood plains along the Missouri River, which determines what land is off-limits to developers and who has to buy flood insurance for homes and businesses built next to the river.
