The first chapter of the Springfield Cardinals’ history is not going smoothly. The Cardinals dropped to 0-4 in their first season with a 2-1 loss to the Arkansas Travellers on Sunday.
Cardinals’ starter Jeremy Pals was charged with the loss, despite allowing just one earned run. At one point he put down ten straight batters, but Springfield’s offense managed just one run of its own. The Cardinals will open up their home schedule on Tuesday against Tulsa.
