Former Kansas City Royal Bo Jackson has filed a defamation lawsuit against the Inland Valley Daily Bulletin of California. Jackson found an article by the newspaper on line, which quoted a dietary expert with claims that Jackson’s career-ending hip condition was worsened by “anabolic abuse”.
Ellen Coleman, the expert quoted in the story, denies that she ever made the claim.
Earlier this year Jackson was inducted into the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame.
