The former head of a Head Start agency in Kansas City has repaid more than $33,000 to the agency after using its credit card for personal expenses, including trips to the Caribbean, broadway tickets, and expensive clothing. The Kansas City Star got the records of Program Administrator Dwayne Crompton and says some of the charges are five years old. The Star says the spending is likely to come up this week in congressional hearings on the Head Start program.
