At Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City Tuesday, the Michigan St. women’s basketball team followed the lead of the Michigan St. men by advancing to the NCAA Women’s Final Four by topping Stanford 76-69 in the Regional final. It ended top-ranked Stanford’s 23-game winning streak. Candice Wiggins gave the Spartans the lead when she drove and hit a lay up and was fouled. The bucket tied the game at 69-69 and the free throw put Michigan St. on top for good.MSU will face Tennessee on Sunday, while Baylor battles LSU on Sunday in Indianapolis. The title game is Tuesday.
