The SMS women’s basketball team fell at home to Bradley 72-69, snapping a 20-game home winning streak against Missouri Valley Conference foes. The difference was the Braves’ red-hot shooting from behind the three-point arc. Bradley nailed 11-of-21 treys on Thursday. Braves senior Genny Mueller hit 4-of-6 three-pointers and finished with 22 points, while SMS’ Kari Koch led all scorers with 25 points.

The loss put the Lady Bears in a rather tight situation—they lead Northern Iowa by one game as the two teams square off in their regular season finale on Saturday at the Hammons Center. If SMS loses, they’ll not only have to share the Missouri Valley Conference regular season title, but they drop to the second seed of the conference tournament. Northern Iowa has already beaten SMS this season. The Lady Bears are 19-7 overall and 14-3 in league play
