St. Louis native Hale Irwin shot a 68 on Monday to win the rain delayed and shortened Champions Tour event in Lutz, Florida. Irwin, who finished eight-under par, edged out Morris Hatalsky by one stroke. To say 2005 has been a good year for Irwin is an understatement. In four tournaments, Irwin hasn’t finished below third place, winning twice. He’s already earned $703,300 this year; Dana Quigley, who’s in second place, has earned $431.253.
