The Saint Louis Billikens’ long, frustrating season continued last night with a 64-62 home loss to Alabama-Birmingham. The Billikens and Blazers played neck and neck the entire game, and SLU’s chance to tie the game was swatted away when UAB’s Ernest Miller blocked Luke Meyers’ jumper at the buzzer. SLU guard Reggie Bryant played his first game since leaving the team on February 7 to deal with a family emergency. He played just 12 minutes, scoring two points. The Billikens are 7-19 on the season and 4-8 in Conference USA play—they’ve dropped seven of their last nine games.
