The UMKC Kangaroos took over the top spot in the Mid-Continent Conference Tuesday night with a 77-70 win over Oral Roberts at Municipal Auditorium. UMKC took a half-game advantage over the Golden Eagles with the victory. Sophomore Quinton Day led the way for the Kangaroos with 22 points, while Brandon Temple added 10. Carlton Aaron scored 16 and grabbed 14 boards. Senior Mike English also scored 16. With the win, UMKC improved to 15-9 overall and 11-2 in the Mid-Con and they wrapped a regular season sweep over ORU, which fell to 11-3 in conference play and 21-6 overall.
