It was a clean sweep for Southeast Missouri State men and women’s basketball teams in Charleston, Illinois Tuesday night. In the early game the women’s teams played and the men played in the night cap. The SEMO women topped Eastern Illinois 71-56, thanks to junior Tatiana who scored 26 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. It marked the ninth straight win for SEMO, as they took a half-game lead over Eastern Kentucky in the Ohio Valley Conference standings. The Redhawks improved to 16-6 overall and 10-1 in conference play….In the nightcap, the SEMO men got the best of Eastern Illinois 88-79 to win their sixth straight game. Senior Dainmon Gonner was the leading scorer for Southeast with 23 points and he grabbed 10 rebounds. Sophomore Terrick Willoughby had 17 points and Reggie Golson had 11 points and 13 boards. Five Redhawks finished in double figures. They’re 12-10 and 7-4.
