An 11 point lead in the second half wasn’t enough for the Missouri Tigers, who lost to the 3rd-ranked Jayhawks of Kansas 73-61 at Allen Fieldhouse. Jason Conley’s dunk with 19:14 to go in the second half gave the Tigers a 41-30 lead, but offense dried up, as the Tigers converted just 7-of-their final 21 shots. KU chipped away and took the lead back at the 10:25 mark of the second half with a dunk from J.R. Giddens and Mizzou never led again. Conley led Mizzou with 20 points. Wayne Simien paced the Jayhawks with 22, while Aaron Miles scored 14 points and dished out 10 assists for the Jayhawks. Missouri, as a team had just seven assists, coupled with 14 turnovers. . Mizzou has a record of 10-11 overall and they’re 2-6 in the Big 12—just a game in front of last place Baylor and Iowa State. The Jayhawks are17-1 overall and 7-0 in the Big 12 Conference.
