High school senior football players can sign letters of intent to their college of choice on Wednesday. Missouri has 20 verbal commitments so far and three junior college players who have already signed letters of intent. Two of the top players in this years class are QB Chase Daniel (South Lake Carroll HS, Texas), who was named the EA Sports High School Player of the year. Another big grab is tight end Chase Coffman from Ray-Pec High School in Missouri, who picked MU over K-State. Of the 23 players in the class, eight are from Missouri and seven are from Texas. The class, which is currently ranked 36th in the nation by Rvials.com took a hit last week, when Hazelwood East wide receiver Chris Brooks backed out on a verbal commitment to Mizzou and chose Nebraska, instead. Brooks was considered the number two recruit in the state.
