Lincoln University in Jefferson City has been put on four-year probation by the NCAA Division-II Committee on Infractions for using ineligible players in football, men’s basketball, women’s cross country, women’s track and field and men’s golf. The university was placed on a four-year probation and the football team will be barred from competing in any post-season games in 2005. In addition, football games from the 2001 season, basketball games in the 2002-2003 season were all forfeited. Also all team and individual records for the 2001-2002 and 2002-2003 basketball seasons will be erased. The same will be done for records from the 2001-2002 and 2002-2003 women’s cross country and track and field team.
