A former St. Louis City Jail inmate has won his police brutality case against a police officer, but has promptly been put back in jail. Lance Cole claimed a policeman kicked him in the groin two days after he’d undergone surgery for accidentally shooting himself in the genitals. A jury has awarded him $2,500. But as he was leaving the courtroom, he was arrested and taken to Ferguson where he’s a suspect in another crime. Police say he’s also wanted by other departments in other cases.
