The Southeast Missouri State Men’s basketball team fell to Tennessee Tech 82-81 in Cape Girardeau Thursday night. They had no answer for Tech’s Willie Jenkins, who scored 34 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. SEMO is now 6-10 overall and 1-4 in Ohio Valley Conference play….the SEMO women beat Tennessee Tech. The win moves SEMO and Tech into a tie for first in the Ohio Valley Conference. The game was also the last time a women’s team at the school will be referred to as the Othakians. The school is phasing out the use of any Indian references in their nickname. When they hit the floor against Austin Peay on Saturday, they will be the Red Hawks.
