Reggie Bryant’s off-balance jumper with 1.2 seconds to go gave Saint Louis a much-needed 65-63 win over Southern Mississippi Wednesday. The Billikens seemed to have a win in order when they took a 42-28 lead with 14:37 to go, but the Eagles went on a 25-11 run to tie the game at 53-53 with 6:09 to go. After that it was a dog-fight between the Conference USA rivals. Bryant not only hit the game-winner, but he also led the team in scoring with 24 points. Izik Ohanon had a nice game for SLU, as well, with 18 points and seven rebounds. The Billikens hit 58 percent of their shots on the game and 65 percent in the second half to improve to 4-12 overall and 2-2 in C-USA. USM is 9-8 and 0-5 under first-year head coach Larry Eustachy.
