The Pro Football Hall of Fame released a list of 15 players for possible induction this year. Both sides of the Show-Me State are represented on that list. Former Chiefs linebacker/defensive end Derrick Thomas is on the list in his first year of eligibility. Thomas played 11 seasons for the Chiefs before dying in 2000. Thomas was paralyzed in an automobile accident and later died of cardiac arrest. He was the Chiefs all-time sack leader with 126.5. He also had more fumble recoveries (18) and safeties (3) than any other Chief. He was selected to nine-straight Pro-Bowls. Also on the list is former Missouri Tiger and St. Louis Cardinal Roger Wehrli. He was named to the 1970’s All-Decade team and was a seven-time Pro Bowl selection. Wehrli. He was an All-Pro and All-NFC selection five times.
