Missourians are being given a chance to sit down with state lawmakers and tell them how state money should be spent. The Senate Appropriations Committee will hold public hearings, starting today and lasting for two weeks, for members of the general public to comment on the planning for the next state budget. The Committee Chairman is Chuck Gross of St. Charles. Gross does not want to hear from lobbyists or state officials in these hearings. He says they’ll get their chances later. The hearing schedule is on the Senate’s website.
