Missouri’s top woman in the hierarchy of the Republican Party is leaving her post in Washington. Ann Wagner, Co-Chair of the Republican National Committee and Chair of the Missouri Republican Party, plans to leave her national post after the inauguration of President George W. Bush. She will, however, stay on at the top of the Missouri Republican Party. Wagner, a Ballwin resident, says much has happened during the last four years … and she’s particularly proud of her efforts to bring more women to the Republican Party. Wagner first became National Co-Chair following President Bush’s victory in the 2000 election. There is speculation Wagner will run for political office, but she insists that’s not in her plans for the immediate future. She is, however, leaving the door open to that somewhere down the road.
