The man being asked to head the State Corrections Department in the Blunt Administration says he will draw on his experience as a former lawmaker who dealt with prison issues. Former State Representative Larry Crawford of Centertown says he wants to stem the tide of too many workers leaving the corrections department too soon. Crawford says he’s got some ideas on how to change that trend, but he wants to talk to the workers out there before he unveils any plans. His nomination is subject to State Senate approval.
