The winningest high school basketball coach in Missouri history may return to the bench. Raytown South High School Administration told the Kansas City Star that they would welcome Bud Lathrop back. Lathrop has won 914 games and four state titles in his 46 years of coaching. He resigned last month rather than accept a three-week suspension for cursing during a practice. That suspension is scheduled to end this Wednesday, when Raytown South plays at Excelsior Springs. Under interim coach J.R. Hursman, Raytown South went 5-0, and won the William Jewell Tournament.
