The State Conservation Department has suspended the hunting and fishing licenses of 176 people who are delinquent in their child support payments. But the State Conservation Commission is refusing to make the names public, a change in previous policy. The comission says it’s closing the records because it gets information about whose licenses should be suspended from the State Division of Family Support and that Division’s Child Support records are not public. The commission does make public the names of people whose licenses are cancelled for other reasons, such as wildlife code violations.
