Chris Chandler was intercepted six times on Sunday and the Rams lost to the Panthers 20-7 in Carolina. Jake Delhomme hit Mushin Muhammad from 14 yards out and Nick Goings found the end zone on a one-yard run to give Carolina a 14-0 led in the first quarter. Chandler was able to hit Torry Holt on a 75-yard touchdown pass for St. Louis’ only score. John Kasay hit two field goals in the second quarter and the scoring ended the rest of the way. Dan Morgan and Ricky Manning picked Chandler two times apiece. Chandler was also sacked three times. The loss drops both teams to 6-7 and into a tie for the final wild card spot in the NFC, but the Panthers would win any tie-breaker with the Rams, thanks to yesterday’s win. St. Louis is now a game behind in the NFC West after Seattle’s 27-23 win over the Vikings.
