An early version of a “Paige Sports Arena” sign won’t net a Kansas man any extra money. The sign was being sold on eBay, but the University of Missouri had it pulled after less than two days on the internet auction company, claiming they still own the sign. The sign was supposed to go on the new $75-million arena, but the Laurie family, which gave $25-million to have the arena built didn’t like the design and it was removed. The person trying to sell the sign says he bought the signs from a scrap metal company. Star Signs and Graphics of Lawrence, Kansas designed the signs and sold them to the scrap metal company.
