Former Missouri basketball star Kareem Rush was dealt from the Los Angeles Lakers to the Charlotte Bobcats for second-round picks in 2005 and 2008. Rush saw his playing time dwindle under Lakers’ first-year coach Rudy Tomjanovich this year from 17.3 minutes per game last season to 6.5 minutes per game this season. His scoring is also down from 6.4 points per game to .9 points per game. Rush didn’t play in the Bobcats 99-93 double-overtime loss to the Clippers on Monday night. Rush, who left Mizzou after his junior season in 2002, is 11th on MU’s all-time scoring list with 1,584 points. He averaged 18.9 points per game in his career.
