They are two of the most powerful men in the State. Major General Randall Castro commands Fort Leonard Wood in South Central Missouri and is the highest-ranking military member in the state. Governor-elect Matt Blunt is poised to take control of the Governor’s office next month. But tomorrow, Castro admits they might be pre-occupied watching the Army-Navy football game. But that’s where their agreement seems to end. Blunt, a 1993 graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, believes the powerful ground game of the 8-and-2 Midshipmen will easily wash over the Black Knights. Castro, who graduated from the U.S. Military Academy, says this is the year for upsets – as demonstrated by the Boston Red Sox coming back from down three games in the American League playoffs and eventually winning the World Series. Blunt says the General should keep dreaming.
